Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

IndexGenius Academy («IndexGenius», «we») is an educational trading platform available at www.indexgeniusacademy.com. We are not a broker and we do not handle your money.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: first name, last name, email, country and phone number when you sign up with email. Your password is stored hashed; never in plain text.
• Sign in with Google: if you choose «Continue with Google», we receive your name, your email (verified by Google) and your Google account identifier. We do not access your contacts, files, calendar or any other data from your Google account, and we do not post anything on your behalf.
• Profile photo: only if you choose to upload one.
• Security data: date and time of your sign-ins, browser and operating system, and an encrypted identifier (hash) created from your IP address and device, which we use to alert you when you sign in from a new device. If you turn on two-step verification, we store the encrypted secret and the recovery codes as hashes.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, support or WhatsApp.

3. What we use your data for

• Creating and managing your account and giving you access to your dashboard and educational content.
• Verifying your identity, sending you verification codes and security alerts, and protecting your account.
• Answering your support requests.
• Improving how the service works and keeping it secure.
• Complying with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run the service and with authorities when the law requires it:

• Cloudflare: hosting of the site and the database.
• Resend: sending verification and security emails.
• Google: sign in with Google and website fonts.
• YouTube: playing embedded videos.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you contact us through that channel.

5. Third-party services

If you use third-party services mentioned on the site, such as brokers or trading platforms (for example BridgeMarkets, MetaTrader 5 or Myfxbook), those services have their own terms and privacy policies, for which we are not responsible.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use a necessary session cookie to keep you signed in (HttpOnly) and we store some interface preferences in your browser, such as the menu state or read notifications.

We currently do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and sessions expire automatically. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

8. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, optional two-step verification and alerts for sign-ins from new devices. No system is completely foolproof, but we work to reduce risks.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or request a copy. Write to support@indexgeniusacademy.com and we will reply within a reasonable time. You can also edit your name and photo from your dashboard.

10. Minors

Our services are intended for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process data on servers located outside your country. We use them with reasonable measures to protect your information.

12. Google data

Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google data only to create your account and sign you in.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date.
